On the left wall of the second foyer of the Radiology Center, where visitors will wait on the grand staircase, we created a mural using translucent, light inks, leaving a large ring unpainted. The painting also unites the duality of technical perfection and human gesture.
The picturesque, net-like, and organic-looking all-over structure, with its formally rigorous and technically inspired recessed ring, associatively describes the building's use. The instruments for diagnosing and treating cancer include circular, rotating tubes—a reference is also made to the particle accelerator located in the basement.
It is important to us that the painting enters into a dialogue with the architecture both from a distance and has a high sensual quality from up close. That's why we used stencils to provide the surface with a net structure that combines with the painting like a watercolor. These can be associated with microcosmic or macrocosmic structures.
